DOPETHRONE: MONTREAL - SLUTCH / SLUDGE METAL

Music: https://dopethrone.bandcamp.com/

Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/dopethrone.mthell

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dopethroneband/

Forged in the filthy depths of Hochelaga, Dopethrone is a sonic gut-punch of sludge metal nihilism, so vile it's a controlled substance. The Montréal trio conjures a tar-thick atmosphere of addiction, misanthropy, and bottom-feeder blues called "Slutch" — a vicious hybrid of black metal bleakness and NOLA-style sludge with a heavier-than-thou DIY mentality.

Since 2008, they've churned out essential slabs of audio filth. After their breakthrough album "Dark Foil" (2011) caught the ear of legends Voivod, they were summoned to spread their contagion at Roadburn Festival in 2012, making Europe their adoptive land. Since then, they have kept spreading the madness on stages across the globe, from the hallowed pits of Maryland Doom Fest to Hellfest, leaving audiences crusted in a grime that never washes off.

In 2024, after six years of ominous studio silence, Dopethrone returned angrier than ever with their sixth album on Totem Cat Records, "Broke Sabbath" — seven tracks of heavy schizophrenic aggression, recorded for maximum asphyxiating density. This is music for the wicked, the wretched, and the degenerates seeking a new high.

Dopethrone is the soundtrack to the world's end, so press play and laugh as the world burns.

Dopethrone will be headlining at approximately 8:00pm on May 30 at the Queens Nightclub - with direct support from:
